Eligibility Criteria for NID DAT Prelims 2025 (B.Des - Undergraduate Level)
Age Limit:
- General and General-EWS Category: Candidate must be born on or after 1st July 2004.
- Reserved Categories (OBC-NCL, SC, ST): Candidate must be born on or after 1st July 2001.
- PwD Category: Candidate must be born on or after 1st July 1999.
- Foreign Nationals in Overseas (Supernumerary) Category: Candidate must be born on or after 1st July 2004.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed or be appearing for the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) qualifying examination in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities, etc.) from a recognized board such as CBSE, ICSE, IB, or equivalent in the academic year 2024-25 or earlier.

Sections:
Part A - Objective Section: Around 22 multiple-choice questions covering general design knowledge, reasoning, mathematical aptitude, language skills, and general awareness
Part B - Subjective Section: Around 4 questions focused on creative, drawing, and design aptitude requiring detailed, artistic responses
Marks Distribution: Typically, Part A (Objective) ~30 marks and Part B (Subjective) ~70 marks
Language: English
Note: No negative marking; the exam tests creativity, drawing skills, logical reasoning, and general design aptitude
