Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design – UG

Eligibility :

Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 2000, if belonging to OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category; for SC/ST/PwD candidates, the cutoff is October 1, 1995 (5 years relaxation).
Number of Attempts: Maximum two attempts allowed in consecutive years.
Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have passed all 5 subjects in Class XII (or equivalent) in 2024 or 2025, or be appearing for the first time in 2025. Candidates who first appeared in qualifying exam in 2023 or earlier are not eligible.
Streams Eligible: All streams (Science, Commerce, Arts & Humanities) are eligible to appear.
Reservation: EWS-10%, OBC-NCL-27%, SC-15%, ST-7.5%, PwD-5% seat reservations apply.

UCEED 2025 Exam Pattern :

The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2025 consists of two parts conducted in distinct formats:

Part A (Computer-Based Test) :

Number of Questions: 57 questions divided into three types:
Numerical Answer Type (NAT): 14 questions, each carrying 4 marks, no negative marking.
Multiple Select Questions (MSQ): 15 questions, partial marking scheme with penalty of -1 for wrong answers.
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ): 28 questions, 3 marks each, with negative marking of -0.71 for incorrect answers.
Total Marks for Part A: 200 marks
Duration: 2 hours

Part B (Offline Drawing Test) :

Number of Questions: 2 questions
Types of Questions: 1 Sketching-based and 1 Design Aptitude-based question
Total Marks for Part B: 100 marks
Duration: 1 hour
