AILET Exam 2026 – Eligibility, Pattern & Preparation Guide

All India Law Entrance Test – UG

Eligibility :

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or equivalent from a recognized board with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).
Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for appearing in AILET UG (BA LLB) 2025.
Category-wise Relaxation: Reserved category candidates (SC/ST) require minimum 45% marks in Class 12.
PwD candidates have the same relaxation as SC/ST.
Foreign Nationals: Foreign nationals and OCI/PIO candidates must have secured 65% in 10+2 or equivalent.
They are exempted from taking the entrance test but must apply online through the same application portal.
Appearing Candidates: Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination (Class 12) in 2025 are also eligible to apply, subject to meeting eligibility criteria at admission time.

Duration: 120 minutes (2 hours)

Mode: Offline (Pen-and-paper)

Marking Scheme: +1 for each correct answer, -0.25 for each incorrect answer

Medium: English

Legal principles may be used in the Logical Reasoning section, but no prior legal knowledge is required.
